Re:  Power Restored / New back up Generator

Power Restored:

We are grateful to let you know that the power has been restored at Hillcrest Village Care Centre this morning. We thank you for your understanding during this time of the power outage. 

Generator/Power: 

Due to the area wide power outage the electrical company helping us change to a new back up generator has changed the date that they will be in to work on transferring our utility lines to the new backup generator for the Hillcrest Village building. The new date is next Thursday, April 10^th.

This requires them to have the main utility power off, so we will be operating on our current backup generator for the day. The estimated start time is 8:30 AM.

This power outage only impacts the Residents living and the Staff working in the Hillcrest Village building.

It will not affect Residents or Staff in the Heritage Place building.

The current backup generator will provide power to:

• 1 elevator
• Partial lighting and all electrical outlets in hallways
• Nursing stations and medication rooms
• Wi-Fi



Areas without power will include:

• Resident rooms
• Common rooms
• Serveries
• Offices
• Laundry and auxiliary rooms in the lower level

Laundry and dietary departments are being asked to modify their services to maintain a minimal service level for the day.
