Enjoying Life Together

Our home provides supervision and nursing care for residents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The nursing team knows the Residents and their individualized care plans so that they can provide excellent quality care and services. Palliative care is also provided from staff who receive palliative care training to help offer support and understanding to families. The Nursing team consists of Registered Nurses, Registered Practical Nurses and Personal Support Workers.

Hillcrest Village has a Physician who cares for most Residents. We also offer Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN) appointments where Residents and families can meet with a specialist through videoconferencing without having to leave the home.

Physiotherapy and Restorative Care focus on ensuring Residents can and are encouraged to participate in activities of daily living. Residents are assessed upon admission and as needed.

Three nutritious meals are offered daily. Two meal options are offered to residents during mealtimes. Snacks and beverages are offered multiple times a day between meals. Our home has on-site dietitians to assess Residents and ensure Residents are receiving appropriate nutritional benefits. Dining rooms are located on each unit. If families or friends would like to come in to share a meal with a Resident, private dining rooms are available to be booked.

Programs are a wonderful time for Residents to meet new people and socialize. There are a variety of activities offered for our Residents which can be found on the monthly activity calendars. Spiritual services are offered weekly.  In addition to the daily activities that are offered, we also offer special events such as the Family Fun Fest, Concerts etc. Residents, Families, and Friends are warmly invited to attend a variety of activities or special events.

There are many other services that are available to Residents on-site. Some of these services include the hair salon, dental hygiene, foot care etc. These services would be discussed with the Resident and/or family upon admission and are available for an additional cost.
